I began working on the Automated Support Assistant (ASA) in May 2003, and then inherited the code base from another developer in the fall of 2003. ASA is a support utility that uses an ActiveX control to diagnose customer computers for common problems with Symantec products. The goal is to reduce support contact volume by providing automated solutions on-line.
Solution:
I've worked with JSP and JavaScript to build new initiatives, add new issue detections, and maintain the existing application. To facilitate localization and better code management, I moved the entire code base into the ColdFusion-based content management/publishing system that I built.
